Juliet Davenport
Good Energy

Juliet is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Good Energy – a renewable energy company with a mission to power a greener, cleaner future together with its customers.

Juliet has been an innovator for over 20 years, working on ideas to fight climate change and transform the energy sector for the better.

In 2013, she was awarded an OBE for services to renewables. She currently sits on the board of the Renewable Energy Association, Innovate UK and is Vice President of the Energy Institute.

In addition, she sits on the advisory boards of leading UK think tanks, including Energy Systems Catapult, Aurora, Oxford Energy, and LSE’s Grantham Institute.


James Thornton
ClientEarth

James Thornton is the founding CEO of ClientEarth. A member of the bars of New York, California and the Supreme Court of the United States, James founded the Los Angeles office of NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council). In 2007 he took that experience of leading a non-profit environmental law group to Europe and founded ClientEarth. With offices in London, Brussels, Warsaw, Berlin, Beijing and Los Angeles, ClientEarth also works in five countries in Africa.

Using corporate law to address the climate crisis, ClientEarth is developing a truly global reach. It works with investors to move markets toward renewable energy, stops coal fired power plants, and uses the courts to force governments to clean the air. In China, ClientEarth has facilitated 48,000 environmental enforcement cases. Among James’s many awards in the business and legal sectors is the Financial Times Special (Lifetime) Achievement Award for Innovation in Law.


Christiana Figueres
The Future We Choose

Christiana Figueres was the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) 2010-2016 and the public face of the most pivotal climate agreement in history, the Paris Climate Agreement of 2015. Together with Tom Rivett-Carnac (who was Christiana’s political strategist at the UN) she is the co-founder of Global Optimism, an organisation focused on bringing about environmental and social change. They work closely with key campaigners on climate, among them Greta Thunberg, Al Gore, Leonardo DiCaprio, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Jane Goodall and David Attenborough. With Tom she is the co-author of The Future We Choose - the book about climate crisis we need right now: timely and vitally optimistic. It is a passionate and accessible manifesto written by two experts who defied the odds and provided hope for a generation.
