Ruth Ibegbuna is the founder and CEO of RECLAIM, an award-winning social action programme based in Manchester; working class young people ending leadership inequality. Before this, Ruth worked as a teacher in a Moss Side state school and supported her pupils in obtaining some of the best GCSE results in the country. Ruth was named Manchester Peace Activist of the Year 2008, she was a 2013 Clore Social Fellow and is an Ashoka UK Fellow. Last year, Ruth was listed by Virgin as one of the top six female changemakers internationally. She is usually to be found somewhere in the north, politically exasperated, banging on about social injustice and weeping at the current state of the world.
