Peter Godwin

Peter Godwin is a Zimbabwean author, foreign correspondent, documentary filmmaker and screenwriter. He has written for magazines and newspapers including Vanity Fair, National Geographic, New York Times magazine and Men’s Journal. He is the author of 5 books including Mukiwa, (which received the George Orwell prize and the Esquire-Apple-Waterstones award), When a Crocodile Eats the Sun - a Memoir of Africa, and The Fear- the last days of Robert Mugabe.He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has previously served as President of PEN American Center. He lives in New York.
