Molly Dineen

Molly Dineen is one of the most acclaimed documentary film-makers working in Britain today. She was awarded The Grierson Memorial Trust 2003 Trustees' Award for outstanding contribution to the art of documentary and won a BAFTA and Grierson Award for her latest film The Lie of the Land, a 90 minute documentary portrait of the British countryside and the demise of farming. Other documentaries include: The Lord's Tale, (about reform of the House of Lords) Geri, (about Geri Halliwell), In the Company of Men (about the Welsh Guards), and The Ark (a series about the London zoo for BBC2, which won the BAFTA award for best series). Molly studied documentary making at the National Film and Television School. The BFI have recently released a DVD set of the best of twenty years of her documentaries.
