Irvine Welsh
Irvine Welsh was born in Edinburgh, and first came to public attention with his debut novel Trainspotting (1993), which was quickly adapted for stage and screen, with great success. His other novels include Filth (1998), Glue (2001), Skagboys (2012), and A Decent Ride (2015) he has written many short stories and screenplays. He currently lives in Chicago.
